Why misery and poverty is the most popular words that coming out from human mouth? Every people in this world always afraid of being poor since it will lead your life to a misery. However, poor does not need to be misery. There are many poor people from under development country that could live a happy life despite of they are poor.

I believe poverty is state where we as human being have the ability to fight for a change. Poverty sometime happened because human lost their will to fight for their survivor and accept the condition as they were. Yes, in some part, poverty was cause by karma that has mature but even we could change our karma. That's why Buddha always teach us to do more and more good deed, because this good deed will generate a good karma that will decrease the effect of bad karma little by little.

Before I continue further, I would like to explain a little bit about karma in Buddhism. Karma has divided into 2 state, good karma and bad karma. Good karma is responsible of affecting a good thing that happened to us, such as good fortune, luck, riches and so on. Bad karma is responsible of affecting a bad thing that happened to us, such as poverty, misery, misfortune and so on. Good or bad of karma very depended how we live our live, are we doing many good deeds or many bad deeds in our live time. Karma also divided into 2 condition, short term or long term. Short term karma, will be mature and effecting our current life and long-term karma will be take to our next life.

Just like the law of Cause-Effect, karma is the cause and the effect of our action in this life or our pass life. If you doing many good deeds in this lifetime, chances are, you will enjoy your life in near future or maybe in your next life. However, if you are doing many bad deeds, you surely will fall into misery even you a rich.

Misery and poverty not damned but the effect of actions taken in this lifetime of pass. However, we could lighten up the misery by start doing more good deed since we have the best brain to think out a way to do it even in the worst condition. If there are still many people live in poverty, it is solely because they choose to not damn upon them.
